What Data We Collect

We collect only the data strictly necessary:

• Newsletter: your email address, given voluntarily when you subscribe. We also record the date and IP address of the subscription and of its confirmation, as proof of consent
• Orders: name, delivery address, phone number (so the courier can let you know before delivering), email and payment details (processed by certified providers)
• Contact: the details you provide when you message us

How We Use the Data

• Sending the newsletter (on the basis of your consent)
• Processing and delivering orders (performance of a contract)
• Replying to enquiries and after-sales support
• Meeting legal and tax obligations

We never sell or pass on your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

Processors

To run the site we use providers who process data on our behalf, under processing agreements and only on our instructions:

• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) - hosting of the subscriber list and sending of the newsletter. Data is processed within the European Union. Privacy policy: brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy

The newsletter uses double opt-in: after submitting your email you receive a message asking you to confirm, and you only join the list if you do. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every message.

Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@kinferments.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt.

Cookies and usage measurement

This site does not use cookies. Your shopping cart is kept in your browser's local storage, on your device only, and is never sent to us — you can clear it by emptying the cart or by clearing the site's data.

The same storage also keeps a note that you have closed the Gleba notice on the home page, so we don't show it to you again. It says nothing about you and is never sent to us either.

To understand how the site is used — which pages people visit and where they click — we use PostHog, with the data hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt). It is configured without cookies and without writing anything to your device: instead of giving you an identifier stored in your browser, PostHog works one out on its own servers from a daily code combining the IP address, the browser and the domain. That code is deleted at the end of each day, so you cannot be recognised from one day to the next. No geographic location is derived, there is no advertising, these data are neither shared nor sold, and we do not follow you across other sites.

We also record a few moments of use — adding a product to the cart, going through to payment, subscribing to the newsletter, switching language — without any data that identifies you.

If you write to us through the form on the Professionals page, we keep what you enter there — name, business, town, contact details, products and quantities — in order to reply, and the record is held in Brevo, the service that also handles the newsletter. The news box is separate from the request: you can ask for a price list without ticking it, and if you don't, you'll receive no email other than our reply.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding, in aggregate, how the site is used, without identifying visitors. Retention: these data are kept for up to 1 year.

Data Retention

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Order data is kept for the period required by law (ten years for tax purposes). Contact details are deleted once they're no longer needed.
